A promise from US to the world.

On the 250th anniversary of our nation, we offer this message to our cherished friends and allies around the world: the overwhelming majority of Americans are profoundly misrepresented by Donald Trump and his administration. This is not who we are, not who we have become, and, most certainly, not who we will remain.

In less than two years, this President has squandered generations of trust and friendship with even our closest and most steadfast allies while driving a wedge through the heart of our nation at home. Division and chaos are not the exhaust of this engine of destruction; they are its fuel. The character we would fear in any other nation can no longer be the character we excuse in our own.

The United States will be reclaimed by citizens who honor the dignity of every person and welcome their responsibility to future generations. It will be rebuilt by honorable, decent people unafraid of peace, progress, and plurality—and determined to ensure that power never again drifts so far from the hands of the people.
